LEBANON – The Minister of Telecommunications, Charles Hajj, issued a decision allowing subscribers who were forced to leave their homes or whose houses were damaged due to the Israeli attacks to request the suspension of their phone or internet subscriptions free of charge.

Once the request is submitted, the issuance of bills and the collection of monthly fees will stop starting from the date of the request. Requests can be made by calling the contact center at 1515 or by email at [email protected].

The requests are limited to subscriptions belonging to people affected by the attacks or displaced from their areas.

The decision also states that if any telephone central stops operating due to damage caused by the Israeli attacks, billing and the collection of monthly fees for subscribers connected to that central will automatically stop starting from the date it stopped operating.

To make it easier to restore the service later, the decision also allows subscribers to reactivate their suspended phone or internet subscriptions or transfer them to another location if needed without any additional fees.

Billing and fee collection will resume only from the date the subscription is reactivated and put back into actual service.
