LEBANON – Middle East Airlines (MEA) announced its flight schedule for the period from March 13 to March 17, 2026. The adjustments come as a result of the continued closure of airspace in several countries across the region, in addition to urgent operational reasons.

Main changes to the flight schedule:

• Dubai and Abu Dhabi: Regular scheduled flights to Dubai have been cancelled and replaced with charter flights under numbers ME1428/1429 during the mentioned period. Passengers whose Dubai and Abu Dhabi flights were previously cancelled may rebook on these charter flights free of charge.

• Istanbul: Additional daily flights to Istanbul will operate under flight number ME1265 at 18:30.

• Cairo: The evening return flight (ME307) has been cancelled. Passengers can instead book on the afternoon flight (ME305) at 14:10 Cairo time to Cairo.

• Other destinations: Some scheduled flights to Baghdad, Kuwait, Doha, Najaf, Erbil, Amman, and Jeddah have either been rescheduled or cancelled.

• Larnaca: Return flights from Larnaca to Beirut (ME262 and ME272) have been postponed to depart the following morning instead of their original scheduled time.

Strict No-Show Policy

The airline also announced an update to its “No-Show” policy to address the issue of double bookings, which prevents other passengers from benefiting from available seats. Under the new policy, the following fees will apply if a passenger does not show up without cancelling in advance:

• 300 USD for Economy Class

• 500 USD for Business Class

The airline also reserves the right to cancel the entire ticket in case of a no-show.

Flexible booking and communication

MEA confirmed its commitment to a flexible ticket policy, allowing passengers to rebook once free of charge within one week of the flight date, or request a refund for unused tickets without penalties.

The airline also advised passengers to follow updates through its call center (1320 or 1330) or visit the official website, as the security and operational situation may change quickly.
