
LEBANON – Recent data indicate that more than 600 children in Lebanon have been injured since the outbreak of the war, as the consequences of the conflict on civilians continue, particularly among the most vulnerable groups.
According to the data, the impact of war on children varies between immediate injuries that appear directly as a result of events, and psychological, health, and social effects that may extend for many years and accompany them throughout their lives.
In this context, the “Aqwa” program is working to respond to the urgent needs of affected children by providing support in healthcare and protection, in addition to helping secure a path toward recovery and reintegration.
Those in charge of the program emphasize that protecting children and ensuring their future is a collective responsibility that requires joint efforts, calling on everyone not to ignore their suffering or underestimate the scale of the impact the war has had on them.
