SAIDA — The Hariri Foundation for Sustainable Human Development has launched vocational training courses for displaced people in shelters in Saida.
The initiative targets youth and women and aims to help them gain practical skills for income and daily living.
The program is implemented through the foundation’s Youth Vocational and Technical Training Center and the Cisco Networking Academy. It combines vocational training with digital skills and basic psychological support.
Courses run for three weeks. Each course includes around 20 training hours. Participants receive certificates at the end.
The training focuses on practical skills that can be used inside shelters and later in the job market.
A digital marketing course, “Digital Marketing Level 1 & 2 by AI”, was delivered under Cisco’s program, introducing participants to foundational online marketing skills enhanced by artificial intelligence tools.
Assessment strategies following the digital marketing courses were carried out using tools including Canva and other digital platforms. This ensures that participants gain practical skills that increase their employability.
“These courses help transform crises into opportunities by enabling participants to master professions and develop them into sources of income,” said Suha Al-Hassan, director of Dr. Nazih El-Bizri Secondary School.
The foundation says the program is part of its wider efforts to support vulnerable groups, build skills, and improve access to livelihoods.
