LEBANON — The Digital Platform for the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health's (MoPH) Response to the Israeli Aggression on Lebanon, a digital health analytics platform built on Microsoft Power BI, is offering new insights into patient service utilization patterns and mental health indicators.
The dashboard consolidates data from multiple service delivery points, tracking patient interactions across primary healthcare, emergency departments, outpatient consultations, and mental health support services in real time.
According to the system, 18,802 internally displaced persons (IDPs) have received hospitalization support, while 24,593 IDPs have been treated through emergency room services to date.
Data further shows that approximately 58% of hospitalizations have taken place in public hospitals, highlighting the central role of the public health sector in responding to increased demand.
In addition, 82.8% of patients are aged 18 and above, indicating that the majority of recorded cases involve adult populations.
Mental health services represent a growing share of overall utilization, accounting for an estimated 8% of total service usage, a figure that has steadily increased compared to previous reporting cycles. The platform also captures wider psychosocial response indicators, including 23,879 individuals who have benefited from mental health awareness and information sessions, and 21,082 people who have received non-specialized mental health consultations.
In parallel, service delivery data shows that 282 shelters are currently distributing mental health medications, reflecting expanded access to essential psychotropic support within displacement settings.
Child-focused and maternal health indicators are also tracked through the system. More than 20,000 children identified as IDPs have received vaccinations, while 1,775 deliveries among IDP populations have been recorded, underscoring continued provision of essential maternal health services despite ongoing pressures on the healthcare system.
By integrating clinical, emergency, and mental health data, the system aims to strengthen coordination, optimize resource allocation, and support evidence-based humanitarian response planning.
