LEBANON - Lebanon’s Ministry of Industry is preparing to launch digital services that will allow industrial businesses to apply for, renew, and modify licenses online, as well as access certificates required for import and export activities.
Developed in cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and funded by the Government of Canada, the new services are scheduled to be presented on October 29 during the Lebanese Industry Expo.
The initiative aims to simplify administrative procedures for industrial businesses by reducing paperwork and facilitating access to essential documents. Digitizing these processes could also help reduce administrative delays and improve the efficiency of services provided to manufacturers.
However, the initiative’s impact will depend on the effective implementation, accessibility, and continued maintenance of the digital platform.
The move forms part of broader efforts to support Lebanon’s industrial sector by improving the administrative processes that shape the business environment and facilitate industrial activity.
