The Youth Connect: Inclusive Governance & Prevention of Violent Extremism programme brings together 120 young people aged 18–30 from across Lebanon, creating a space for them to connect, learn, engage with decision-makers, and contribute to more inclusive and resilient communities.
Implemented by the Hariri Foundation for Sustainable Human Development in partnership with the British Council, the programme equips participants with practical skills in governance, civic participation, social cohesion, communication, research, leadership, and the prevention of violent extremism (PVE).
Through training, dialogue, mentorship, and collective action projects, participants have the opportunity to engage with public institutions, civil society organizations, and key stakeholders while transforming their ideas into initiatives, campaigns, policy recommendations, and community-driven action.
As part of the programme, Enmaeya is supporting participants through specialized media and communication training, including podcast production, storytelling, interviewing, and content creation. Participants will also have the opportunity to share their journeys, document their experiences, and use media to amplify their voices and the impact of their projects.
This report takes us inside Youth Connect, highlighting the voices of participants and partners and exploring how meaningful youth participation can turn dialogue, learning, and collaboration into collective action.
