Y-IMPACT is a nationwide initiative led by the Business Practice and Policy Initiative (BPPI) at the American University of Beirut (AUB), in strategic partnership with the Ministry of State for Administrative Reform (OMSAR), to strengthen youth participation in public policymaking across Lebanon. Through interactive workshops held across Lebanese governorates, the initiative brings young people together with experts, public officials, academics, and other stakeholders to discuss local governance and development challenges. In this report, we cover one of the initiative’s sessions, where participants explore policy fundamentals, identify community priorities, and develop evidence-based recommendations aimed at addressing local needs. By creating space for dialogue and collaboration, Y-IMPACT seeks to transform youth perspectives into actionable policy proposals and empower young people to play a more active role in shaping their communities and Lebanon’s future.
