The 2025 conference, themed "The Challenges of Being Open," will explore the complexities and implications of openness in a world that is both globally interconnected and increasingly threatened by forces of insularity. It will address the local and global costs and benefits of openness in education, economics, politics, and culture.
Key topics will include promoting diversity in education and preparing students for a globalized workforce. The event will also provide an opportunity to discuss ways to improve existing Global Partnership for Education (GPE) programming and to introduce new ideas and initiatives to enhance future educational efforts.
In addition to the main conference, an optional cultural field seminar will take place from the evening of May 21 to May 23, offering participants a chance to explore cultural perspectives in greater depth.
