The UNDP’s Istanbul Innovation Action Days 2025 will take place from March 25 to 26, 2025 in Istanbul, Turkey. The event will focus on the theme “Institutional Innovation in an Insecure World,” addressing the complexities and interconnected crises of our time, including political, economic, social, climatic, and technological challenges.
Key topics at this year’s summit will include transversal issues such as wellbeing, time, care, and happiness, as well as technology, power, and participation. The event will also delve into institutional interdependence, alternative economic and financial models, and the role of generative AI in shaping global systems. Other discussions will explore blockchain-based digital payments, AI agents, and the crisis of imagination in global governance.
As Istanbul Innovation Days (IID) 2025 invites us to rethink governance, participation, and the role of technology in a changing world, the summit will feature over twenty workshops, thirty renowned speakers, and more than 200 participants from diverse backgrounds, including entrepreneurs, tech innovators, and policymakers. In addition to the main sessions, there will be a series of panel discussions, breakout rooms, and networking opportunities, all designed to encourage collaboration and the exchange of ideas on how to address global challenges through innovation.
To kick off the event, UNDP Administrator Achim Steiner will deliver the opening remarks, accompanied by H.E. Mrs. Berris Ekinci, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye.
Participants will have the opportunity to engage with industry leaders, explore cutting-edge solutions, and contribute to shaping the future of sustainable development and institutional innovation.
