Description

To support international efforts to protect cultural and natural heritage around the world, the 48th session of the World Heritage Committee will take place in Busan, Republic of Korea, from July 19 to 29, 2026.

This session will bring together representatives of States Parties, experts, and heritage stakeholders to discuss key issues related to the protection of World Heritage sites, their state of conservation, new nominations, and the challenges facing heritage properties in the context of environmental change, urban development, tourism, conflict, and natural disasters.
