The 5th Finance in Common Summit (FiCS 2025) took place from February 26–28, 2025, in Cape Town, South Africa. Co-hosted by the Development Bank of Southern Africa and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, with support from Agence Française de Développement, the summit brought together global leaders, public development banks, the private sector, and philanthropies to rethink and reshape sustainable finance. The theme of the summit, “Fostering Infrastructure and Finance for Just and Sustainable Growth,” served as a global platform for collaboration, financial innovation, and advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This year, for the first time, the summit also featured a dedicated program on Sports, Art, and Culture, recognizing their potential as tools to address global challenges. FiCS 2025 focused on fostering synergies across sectors to achieve inclusive growth, highlighting innovative financial solutions and partnerships to support sustainable infrastructure and development. Through discussions and collaborative initiatives, the summit aimed to accelerate the transition to a more just, equitable, and environmentally sustainable global economy.
