LEBANON – The Disaster Risk Management Unit at the Lebanese Prime Minister’s Office has issued its daily report on the current situation, presenting detailed and updated figures on human losses and displacement resulting from the ongoing hostilities in the country.

Rising Human Losses

The cumulative report as of yesterday evening shows an increase in casualties, with the total number of fatalities reaching 2,454, while the number of injured has risen to 7,658, reflecting the intensity of the current conditions on the ground.

Ongoing Displacement Crisis

In terms of displacement, the report documented 118,624 displaced persons currently residing in official shelters, distributed across 30,815 families. To meet growing humanitarian needs, the report noted that a total of 635 shelters have been opened and equipped to accommodate the displaced.

Toll of Hostilities

Regarding field developments, the Disaster Risk Management Unit recorded a total of 8,719 hostile incidents, as part of its ongoing updates monitoring the humanitarian and security situation amid continued developments.

These figures come as part of official efforts to track the situation on the ground and document the humanitarian impact of the ongoing crisis.
